Two Fiddles
Music Duo
Two Fiddles is a duo of classically trained musicians inspired by a mix of Celtic, jazz, and American folk traditions. Their music blends strong melodies, rich harmonies, and a little improvisation into their variety of arrangements using a combination of piano and fiddle, two fiddles, and four-hand piano.
Annie Gregurich met Judith Mancinelli, retired professor of piano at Millikin University and former violinist with the Millikin-Decatur Symphony Orchestra, when she began studying piano with her at age 11. The two quickly bonded over music and began performing in classical piano concerts together where they enjoyed playing music for four-hand piano. Annie was eventually inspired by Judith to also pick up the violin as a secondary instrument. In 2024, they began to incorporate fiddle music into their classical piano performances, often at the end of a program, which evolved into their creation of a duo focused on unique arrangements inspired by folk music. They are often joined by violinist Kamen Petkov, Springfield, IL - based performer, chamber musician, and violin instructor.
